Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this trailer hub grease cap with the rubber plug for the EZ Lube axles. Now, this grease cap will fit the EZ Lube and the Easy Grease trailer hubs that have a 2.72 inner diameter. The rubber plug you can see is included. Now, I did wanna describe this to you. Now, this grease cap is for EZ Lube and Easy Grease axles, which are axles that have a grease zerk fitting on the end of the spindle, and you can see by that insert I popped up there, that's what the spindle looks like, and if you look close at the end, you can see that grease zerk fitting.
This will allow you to pump grease into the spindle for easy lubrication of your wheel bearings without having to remove the whole complete hub and drum assembly. And you can see it includes the rubber cover here that when this is installed on your hub, you just pop out this rubber cover, and that'll give you access to that zerk fitting you can see there. Once you pump in your grease and you're done, just go ahead and put your rubber cover right back in, pops right into place just like that. Now, this is a 22-Gauge zinc-coated steel construction. Now, to install this, it is a drive-in installation, so basically, when you put this on your hub, you can put a piece of wood on top of it and use a hammer to pound it into place, but also, we do sell a driver tool that'll actually fit over this, and then you can hit that driver tool and it'll actually install the cap into your hub without doing any damage to it, and that part we do sell separately on our website, it's part number 290-993, and it is listed on this product page as a related product.
Again, we mentioned the overall diameter on this or the hub size this will fit into, 2.72 inches, and it is for a quantity of one cap with the rubber plug. But that should do it for the review on the trailer hub grease cap with the rubber plug for EZ Lube axles..

Yes, unfortunately the grease caps do not typically come with individual labels. The easiest way to distinguish between them will be to measure the outer diameter to determine their sizes.
